The Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC) is thrilled to announce its upcoming Wigs & Waffles Drag Brunch Fundraiser, taking place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 12 – 3 PM at Pinstripes (435 E Illinois St, Chicago, IL 60611). This not-to-be-missed event promises a high-energy celebration of drag, music, brunch, and community – all in support of CGMC’s mission to inspire change and unity through song.

The brunch will feature performances by some of Chicago’s most talented drag artists, including the sensational DiDa Ritz (Season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race), Derry Queen, Bambi-Banks Couleé and Ivana TeQuila Ritz. Guests will enjoy a gourmet brunch buffet, open bar, and both silent and live auctions filled with exciting experiences and items.

"This event is more than just a fabulous time—it’s a chance to support the arts, celebrate inclusivity, and raise vital funds for the work we do," said CGMC Managing Director Kevin Corbett. "Wigs & Waffles will be an afternoon that brings people together to uplift the voices and stories of our LGBTQIA+ community."

All proceeds from the event benefit CGMC’s performances, community outreach, education programs, and ongoing efforts to foster equity and visibility for LGBTQIA+ individuals through the performing arts.

CGMC invites individuals and businesses to sponsor the event and show their commitment to LGBTQIA+ arts and culture. Sponsors receive recognition, exclusive perks, and prominent exposure during the event. Visit cgmc.org/brunch for more information on the event, donations, and sponsorship opportunities.

ABOUT CHICAGO GAY MEN’S CHORUS
The Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC) has been an integral part of Chicago’s cultural and gay communities since 1983. For more than three decades, the chorus has entertained audiences across the continent with innovative musical programming exploring everything from love to politics to the sometimes fabulous, sometimes challenging world of being gay; often all at the same time. Our always-memorable performances have included original musical revues; full-length book musicals; traditional choral concerts and intimate cabaret presentations; all punctuated with our signature joyous irreverence. Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus was inducted into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame in 2001. Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs presented CGMC with the 2023 award for Outstanding Achievement in Arts and Humanities in honor of LGBTQIA+ history month in October 2023. The Chicago City Council passed a resolution celebrating CGMC’s 40th Anniversary in December 2023, and the Chorus was recognized by Mayor Brandon Johnson.
