Art Barn School of Art's 8th Annual Art Blitz will be taking place on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 9am to 5pm. Immerse yourself in a world of art-making and creativity at this year's Art Blitz, and enjoy an engaging schedule of demonstrations and hands-on art activities for all ages. Roll up your sleeves or just relax and watch! Look forward to our spectacular sunflower & butterfly gardens, live music, food, and our “Butterflies & Beyond” exhibition, an invitational exhibition to highlight artists in the region who regularly create work about nature themes, and help raise awareness of our native plants and pollinators.
“We are excited to bring back popular activities like chair-painting and our collaborative mural. We have 3 completed murals and will be finishing our 4th, a monarch-themed mural, this year! This event provides an introduction to who we are and what we do in a fun, affordable and engaging way.” states Executive Director, Amy Davis Navardauskas.
The 8th annual Art Blitz event helps Art Barn highlight its educational art offerings with live demonstrations and exhibitions of regional art, and collaborations with other arts organizations. The one-day festival is designed to encourage visitors and residents of all ages to actively engage in various art activities. Art Barn’s retreat-like atmosphere provides plenty of inspiration for creative minds.
Activity tickets are available for purchase at entrance, admission & parking are free.

Art Barn School of Art is dedicated to fostering a love of art in its unique 69-acre environment in Porter County, IN. Art Barn offers a full range of art education classes for children and adults and is a venue for performing arts, meetings and weddings. We rotate exhibitions every 6 weeks that feature regional artists, help to highlight our community partnerships and our collection. We host an annual Juried Art Exhibition that recognizes the creation of original quality 2-D works of art, as well as ceramics. The exhibition, with a 30-year history, attracts 400+ entries from aspiring and established artists from the region and nation.
