This past week, twenty-eight Munster High School students served as Drug Abuse Resistance Education Role Models for the Munster Police Department.
The students met with the fifth grade students at Eads, Elliott, Frank Hammond, St. Thomas More and St. Paul’s remotely from the high school and answered questions about bullying prevention, drug prevention, and resisting peer pressure.

The D.A.R.E. Role Model visits are held annually as a capstone to the police department’s D.A.R.E. Program, and are a great way for the high school students to spend time mentoring our fifth grade students in a positive way.
The Munster Police Department greatly appreciates the high school students who participated last week and looks forward to honoring the fifth grade D.A.R.E. graduates during the coming weeks.
