“The Man in Black,” Johnny Cash, seemed to have been brought back to life as Terry Goffee took the stage at Theatre at the Center on March 22, 2025, in front of a sold-out audience. Goffee, who embodies the sound and personality of the legendary, Johnny Cash, nailed it.

Goffee captured the essence of Cash with each song he played. Audience favorites included: “Don’t Take Your Gun to Town,” “Five Feet High and Risin’,” “Get Rhythm,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “I Walk the Line,” “A Boy Named Sue,” San Quentin,” “Ring of Fire,” and a terrific harmonica performance of “Orange Blossom Special.”

Along with fabulous tribute artist, Goffee, on vocals and acoustic guitar, the band included Boyd Rogers on Bass Guitar, Ben Volke on electric guitar, and Christian Gendics on drums and percussion. The band played just like the Johnny Cash band, The Highwaymen.
