I attended Forever Simon & Garfunkel: A Tribute sponsored by Lakeshore Community Concerts, at Highland High School Auditorium on January 27th.  The concert, featuring Sean Altman and Jack Skuller, was entertaining and fun.

The duo did a good job recreating the vocal harmonies of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, but there was just something that didn’t fit.  Eventually I figured it out – Paul Simon sang and played an acoustic guitar, while Art Garfunkel sang.  Altman and Skuller, on the other hand, both played electric guitars – in the style of the Everly Brothers – which makes sense because they also tour as The Everly Set.

At any rate, the concert was filled with iconic hits like “The Sound of Silence,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Mrs. Robinson,” "Homeward Bound," I Am A Rock," "Cecelia," :Feeling Groovy," and more.
