Monster Jam – Rosemont
The review crew and I enjoyed a fuel filled evening at Monster Jam.
Rebecca Smith and Her Review Crew
We brought a newbie with us and she really enjoyed the night. The last few events have brought much larger crowds and I definitely see it in the parking lot lines. My crew has aged, I remember having to cart a huge bag filled with diapers, ear covers, coats, and taking too many bathroom breaks, and now we just enter with squishy ear plugs and sit!
The evening runs like a fine-tuned gear. Each event has its own exhilarating highlights we look forward to. The two-wheel challenge there was a crash landing by Monster Mutt Dalmatian; this event keeps me on edge because I am afraid they will flip!
These occurrences make you realize just how large these trucks really are. There is always a great halftime event with the FMX racers. These people fly across the arena on a dirt bike doing flips, turns and other astounding arial tricks. The free-style competition I always hope at least one car will flip and Friday night it was Grave Digger!
The first time in my attending history a female driver won the evening, the Monster Mutt Dalmatian driven by Jamie Sullivan. As a mom of two boys and a girl, I appreciate that women are competing in these events. They are blazing trails in the world that are positively impacting my children. Our show consisted of three female drivers, and my middle was pretty impressed with that! Definitely a family friendly event. Even the teenagers had a good time with minimal screen time and eye rolls!
