January students will be learning about the period of Post-Impressionism and a bit of history about that time. Artists like van Gogh, Cézanne, and Seurat will be discussed. Students will be using their drawing skills and painting skills this month with still life work. The element of art referred to as "space" will be the focus this month as kids learn how the masters of the post-impressionism movement used this concept, and apply it to their own work.
