The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is again updating its ADA Transition Plan and is seeking the public’s comment about the plan. This document defines and describes how INDOT implements federal and state accessibility requirements into its policies and programs for the next three years.
Comments about the 2021 Transition Plan are being sought from the public, disability and community stakeholders, transportation partners, and local governmental entities. The public’s participation and involvement in transportation decision-making is an integral and important part of the development of INDOT’s ADA compliance program.
The ADA Transition Plan is to serve as a resource and a starting point of discussion for public participation and involvement. Thank you for your time and consideration. Please send comments or questions about the ADA Transition Plan by June 15, 2021 to INDOT’s ADA Coordinator, Barbara Malone, J.D., at bamalone@indot.in.gov, 100 N. Senate Avenue, N758, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
