The Indiana State Police, Lafayette Post, concluded its Labor Day weekend patrols with a strong focus on ensuring the safety of motorists. Troopers were actively searching for reckless and impaired drivers to keep roadways safe during the holiday weekend.
The following charges were made during the patrols:
- 2 Warrant Arrests
- 5 Reckless Driving Arrests
- 6 Drivers License Violations
- 7 Drug-Related Arrests
- 7 Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) Arrests
- 13 Traffic Crashes Investigated
"Our troopers were diligent in their efforts to reduce dangerous driving behaviors and protect the public," said Lieutenant McKee, Commander of the Lafayette Post. "The number of arrests made this weekend underscores the importance of our ongoing commitment to traffic safety and our mission to make Indiana's roadways safer for everyone."
