  1. Home

Wed, 10/16/2019 - 2:09pm by laughingcat

Attendees will learn more about I-69 Section 6, review the expected construction schedule and hear about design refinements made since the Final Environmental Impact Statement was approved in February 2018.

Attendees will also learn how they can participate in an online aesthetics survey related to pedestrian railings and light fixtures at specific overpasses and interchanges.

The meetings will be held October 21, October 22 and October 24. The meetings are 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with a presentation scheduled for 6 p.m. The remainder of each meeting will be an open house format featuring several information stations.

Monday, Oct. 21 Martinsville High School (cafeteria) 1360 E. Gray St., Martinsville

Tuesday, Oct. 22 Center Grove High School (auditorium) 2717 South Morgantown Road, Greenwood

Thursday, Oct. 24 Perry Meridian High School (auditorium) 401 W. Meridian School Rd., Indianapolis

Governor Eric Holcomb’s Next Level Connections program fully funded the $1.5 billion I-69 Section 6 project and accelerated construction by three years.

Work began in Martinsville earlier this year to help with local mobility and connectivity. Mainline I-69 construction is scheduled to start in early 2020 and move north. The new I-69 is expected to open to traffic by the end of 2024.
