Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an incident in southwestern Union County, where a property caretaker was shot after confronting four individuals who were hunting on private property without consent. 

On December 31, 2022, at approximately 6:45 p.m., troopers were dispatched to Munster Community Hospital for a report of a walk-in gunshot wound that had occurred on I-80/94.

Lake County- On Friday, January 6, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Indiana State Police Regional Dispatch Center received 911 calls of a pedestrian crawling on the westbound side of I-80/94 near the 2 mile-marker.  This location is two miles east of the Indiana/Illinois state line.

​​​​​​​Lake County- On Friday, January 6, 2023, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Trooper Dennis Griffin was patrolling along I-80/94 near Cline Ave. when he observed a tan vehicle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed.  Trp. Griffin checked the vehicle’s speed with his in-car radar at 90 m.p.h.
