Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an incident in southwestern Union County, where a property caretaker was shot after confronting four individuals who were hunting on private property without consent.
On December 31, 2022, at approximately 6:45 p.m., troopers were dispatched to Munster Community Hospital for a report of a walk-in gunshot wound that had occurred on I-80/94.
Lake County- On Friday, January 6, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Indiana State Police Regional Dispatch Center received 911 calls of a pedestrian crawling on the westbound side of I-80/94 near the 2 mile-marker. This location is two miles east of the Indiana/Illinois state line.
Lake County- On Friday, January 6, 2023, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Trooper Dennis Griffin was patrolling along I-80/94 near Cline Ave. when he observed a tan vehicle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed. Trp. Griffin checked the vehicle’s speed with his in-car radar at 90 m.p.h.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company today mourns the loss of longtime ensemble member, actor, director and adaptor Frank Galati, who died Monday (1/2/2023) evening in Florida at the age of 79. Galati, who joined the Steppenwolf ensemble in 1985, won two Tony Awards in 1990 for his adaptation and direction of Steppenwolf's pivotal production of The Grapes of Wrath on Broadway.
