The Obesity Medicine Association recently designated Fadia Haddadin, MD, FAAFP, FOMA, as a Fellow of the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA).

The DNR Division of Law Enforcement Division is honored to announce the retirement of K-9 Officer Derby after seven years of dedicated service.

The Cancer Resource Centre offers free educational programs and in-person/virtual mind/body/spirit classes and support groups to individuals in Northwest Indiana with a cancer diagnosis, their family members and their caregivers.

On Sunday, March 19th, several Munster Police officers participated in the annual “Prepare to Serve” program that was held at the YMCA in Griffith.

During this program, 13 participants were provided with information about the police testing process and physical agility requirements while running practice interviews and providing feedback to them. Each of the participants were provided with three month memberships to the YMCA to prepare for the physical agility requirements.

The annual Munster Snowflurry event returned this year for the first time since 2020 and was held Saturday, March 18th at Wilbur Wright Middle School.

The event is held as a cooperative effort between the schools and the Munster Police Department and promotes drug prevention and the importance of treating others with respect and kindness. The event has been held for approximately 30 years in Munster.
