As we look to our 2020-21 season, it is the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra’s hope that between January 1 and June 30, 2021, we will be able to schedule and perform three concerts, in addition to alternative opportunities, such as chamber concerts, recitals, or educational outreach while being mindful of government restrictions and societal concerns.

In an era when e-learning is the new norm, the Gary Community School Corporation is working to provide resources and information to assist parents with technology. The District has teamed up the West Side Leadership Academy PTSA to host a series of virtual workshops where GCSC school parents can ask questions and learn more about the operation of the Chromebooks and hotspots that children grades K-12 received as an enrolled student.
Recently, the Urban League of Northwest Indiana marked its 75th Anniversary by hosting a Radiothon Fundraiser, which yielded more than $12,000. Held at its headquarters located at 3101 Broadway in Gary, local radio station WLTH 1370 AM/92.7 FM facilitated the live broadcast. Scores of community supporters called in and stopped by the Urban League office with donations.
