Next Door Neighbor Open House

by The Auditorium and the Fine Arts Building

Friday, November 14  *  5:00-9:00 PM

Join us as The Auditorium and our next-door neighbors at the Fine Arts Building open their doors together for a magical open house—an invitation to wander, wonder, and witness over 250 years of combined history, artistry, and architectural splendor.

Explore all ten floors of the 125-year-old Fine Arts Building and meet the painters, poets, puppeteers, musicians, and makers that make up this historic hub of artistry. Peek into open studios, hear live music spill into the hallways, and discover a living landmark of Chicago’s creative community.

Then, experience the breathtaking beauty of the 135-year-old National Historic Landmark Auditorium — a masterpiece of Adler & Sullivan design. Take in the grandeur with cocktails in hand (cash bar), while enjoying guided and self-guided tours through this palace of performance.

Throughout the evening, learn more about:

  • Our ongoing historic restoration efforts
  • Community engagement programs that uplift Chicago’s creative voices
  • Our vibrant legacy of world-class artistic programming

Whether you’re a longtime lover of the arts or simply curious to peek behind these iconic facades, we invite you to celebrate history, heritage, and the living spirit of creativity that thrives within the walls of The Auditorium and the Fine Arts Building.
