Spend St. Patrick’s Day 2024 with an afternoon of Big band music of the ‘20s, ‘30s and ‘40s with all of the tunes which have become the sound of American culture throughout the eras, including some of the greatest love songs on the charts.
The afternoon includes a salute to the great band leaders of yesteryear like Duke Ellington, Desi Arnaz, Count Basie, Harry James, Artie Shaw, Guy Lombardo, Lawrence Welk, Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller, the iconic roster of maestros behind the baton who drew crowds and bridged racial divides through the love language of swing.
From the crooning of Frank Sinatra and “The Rat Pack” to the great female vocalists headliners like Ella Fitzgerald, Rosemary Clooney, Edie Gorme, Peggy Lee, Jaye P. Morgan and Dinah Shore, all of the greats as captured from radio days and ballroom orchestra showrooms are showcased for audiences to enjoy and relive.
