On Sunday, September 29th, Chicago Humanities will host an exciting day of art and experiences in the Pilsen neighborhood. The day will include Chicago artists and stars showcasing the best of Chicago.

Pilsen Day will feature a full day of events curated by Pilsen native Alberto Aguilar, the first Chicago Humanities Artist-in-Residence. His programs--which will include walking tours, film screenings, and conversations--will give audiences a chance to encounter art in new and exciting ways and inspire viewers to make their own active connections.

Attendees can also head over to Pilsen's landmark venue, Thalia Hall, for a two headlining events featuring Chicago-native legendary stylist Law Roach and, later in the day, a special performance by poet aja monet. And they can hang around at the National Museum of Mexican Art for captivating cultural conversations about immigration and Lowrider culture.

This is just the first of five Neighborhood Days scattered throughout Chicago Humanities' Fall Festival Season. Other festival days will include events in Hyde Park, Lakeview, and on UIC and Northwestern campuses. Check out their website, ChicagoHumanities.org, for a full list of exciting events including comedy icon Kate McKinnon, literary powerhouses Erik Larson and Richard Powers, and beloved news anchor Connie Chung
