Meet Our Panelists
Janice Ryba, CEO St. Mary's Medical Center
Janice was named CEO of St. Mary Medical Center in 2007, and since then, she and her teams have led the hospital, which is part of Community Healthcare System, into an era of significant growth and achievement. Janice has more than four decades of healthcare experience, working within Community Healthcare System in various leadership roles and management positions. As a longstanding resident of Northwest Indiana, Janice also participates in a number of local organizations such as the American Heart/Stroke Association, Catholic Charities, and Lakeshore Public Media.
A graduate of Quincy University with a bachelor’s degree in Science and Medical Technology, Janice also has earned three advanced degrees in support of her healthcare career. She holds a master’s degree in Health Administration from Governors State University, a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law and Regulation from the Loyola School of Law and a juris doctor from the John Marshall School of Law.
Dr. Daniel McCormick, CEO Franciscan Health, Crown Point
Dan grew up in a family heavily involved in the medical field and felt compelled to work in the same area. Dan graduated from medical school in 1991 and went on to train in internal medicine and nephrology. As a kidney specialist, Dan practiced for many years before leaving clinical medicine and moving into an administrative role. Dan made the decision to move into administration to have a broader voice at the table - ultimately finding that voice and seat at Franciscan's table as CEO in 2018.
Most recently, Dan has overseen Franciscan Health Crown Point's transition to a new hospital location that will serve as a comprehensive medical and educational center for Crown Point and the surrounding counties.
Matthew Doyle, CEO Methodist Hospital
Matt was named President and CEO of Methodist Hospitals in July 2020, bringing with him 25 years of experience in health care finance and administration. Matt was drawn early in life to the health care profession and to the calling of service to others, and describes his leadership style as one of servant leadership. Matt is proud to serve Methodist Hospitals and NW Indiana for the past 17 years.
Matt graduated from Franklin University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance, is a member of the Healthcare Finance Management Association and currently serves on Legacy Foundation's Board of Directors.
