The Crown Point Corn Roast, an old-fashioned street celebration held in Crown Point’s Bulldog Park, will take place Saturday, August 28th 2021 from Noon-11:00pm and Friday, August 27th from 5pm-11pm. The Corn Roast features great food, live music, a Beer Garden, and food vendors serving a variety of favorites, including barbecue, pizza, sweet treats and more. Weather permitting, the splash pad will be open for children.
The Crown Point Corn Roast, hosted by the Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce, has been an annual tradition in Crown Point for decades.
Sweet and succulent, Indiana-grown corn is cooked in its husks, then roasted on the grill, seasoned just with a sprinkling of salt and pepper and then slathered with butter.
The Corn Roast opens at 5pm Friday. The Beer Garden is open from 5pm-11pm. DJs at Work perform from 5-7 p.m. Family-friendly trivia and contests are from 5-6 p.m. Then the PRX (Party Rock Xperience) takes the stage from 8:30-10 p.m.
The Corn Roast, which opens at noon on Saturday, runs until 11pm. Five Star DJ performs from 2-5 p.m. Jack Cunningham plays a selection of acoustic music from 6-7 p.m., and Sticky Scissors will take the stage from 7:30-10:30 p.m. The Beer Garden opens at 4pm.
This year’s event also will feature Purdue Federal Credit Union’s experiential trailer and Jerry Ross, a NASA astronaut and Crown Point native. Ross will be at the booth for a meet and greet from 3-6 p.m. Aug. 28th.
