Chicago Fire FC and Avocados for Peru, in collaboration with the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) and Mariano’s, will be hosting the Guacamole Challenge – an exciting contest, where local media and Chicago Fire Players will compete to create their own unique guacamole recipes.
The Guacamole Challenge will take place following an annual Club-wide volunteer project at GCFD, where Chicago Fire front office staff will help package food items to support local food banks and shelters. As part of the Guacamole Challenge, Avocados from Peru, Mariano’s, and the Chicago Fire will be donating avocados to GCFD to “Fight Hunger with Nutrition.”
