This year’s speaker is writer and motivational speaker Bill Nelson. Bill is the author of Firm Grip – Learning to Thrive When Life Doesn’t Go as Planned. A graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law, Bill has been an attorney in Michigan City for 30 years. He also serves as a part-time public defender. In his free time, he enjoys staying active, reading, Napa Valley red wines, watching baseball and hockey, traveling and slow, easy, weekend mornings sipping lattes with his wife, Jane. He has recently taken up pickleball, and is still trying to figure out why it’s named after a vegetable. The Nelsons have two adult sons, Erik and Adam, and two French Bulldogs, Vinny and Elly.
