Chicago Fire Battle D.C. United to 0-0 Draw at Toyota Park

The Chicago Fire played D.C. United to a 0-0 draw in the 2018 regular season finale at Toyota Park on Sunday evening. The match, which served as Fan Appreciation Day presented by AT&T, saw 19,459 fans attend the Fire's final game of the 2018 MLS season.

BNI boys soccer team wins Class 2A state title!

Congratulations to the boys soccer team on its state championship!! The Warriors captured the program's first state title in BNI history Friday in Indianapolis, defeating Cardinal Ritter of Indianapolis 1-0.

The Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, have started the offseason with multiple awards and nominations including winning the Frontier League’s Clint Brown Excellence in Marketing Award as well as the Schaumburg Business Association’s Rookie of the Year Award for GM Michael Larson. In addition, the Boomers were nominated for the Schaumburg Business Association’s Brian H. Burke Business of the Year Award.

MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas set for Chicago in 2019

On Friday, Jan. 11, MLS expansion-club FC Cincinnati will have the first overall selection in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas, set to take place in Chicago at McCormick Place convention center. The SuperDraft will again serve as a highlight of the United Soccer Coaches Convention and further details, including credentialing information, will be available in December.

RailCats acquire OF Price Jr., RHP Pastora

The Gary SouthShore RailCats traded infielder Garrett Copeland to the Milwaukee Milkmen on Friday for a player to be named later or cash, acquired outfielder John Price Jr. from the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League to complete the Chuck Weaver trade from May 30 and acquired right-handed pitcher Steve Pastora from the Wichita Wingnuts to complete the Tyler Sullivan trade from July 27, 2017.

Chicago Cubs announce tentative 2019 regular season schedule

Major League Baseball and the Chicago Cubs today announced the tentative 2019 regular season schedule. The Cubs will open their 144th season at the Texas Rangers Thursday, March 28, with the home opener taking place Monday, April 8, against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
