The recent offering of the Porter County $20 million stormwater and $30 million capital upgrade bonds attracted the attention of the municipal bond market, drawing multiple and competitive bidders who showed confidence in the strong fiscal health and financial management practices of Porter County government, resulting in lower than expected Net Interest Charge (NIC) rates and a savings for county taxpayers of over $1.5 million dollars in interest cost during the life of the two bonds.

Hebron Woman Killed in Off-Road Vehicle Crash


Hebron, IN - Indiana Conservation Officers on Wednesday, October 11th were called to the area of 185 South 725 West to investigate the death of Denise Fabian, 53, of Hebron after she was found by her husband to be deceased underneath an ATV in a pond at approximately 6:40 a.m.

Road Rage Incident Ends In Driver And Passenger Incarcerated


This Tuesday morning (10/10/17) at approximately 11:30 a.m., Indiana State Police Regional Dispatch received a report of a road rage incident between two drivers on I-65 near the 215 mile marker (Rensselaer Exit) in Jasper County.

Oxford-The two subjects involved in the altercation on October 8, 2017 were Nathan Lee Gick, 35 of Oxford. He sustained non-life threatening injuries and was released from the hospital later Saturday morning. Nathan R. Hipps, 35 of Oxford was the alleged shooter. No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is continuing.
