The first is a Beginning Stained Glass Class. This 10-week class will run throughout the fall, finishing up before Thanksgiving. Students will learn the art of copper foil stained glass, originally invented by Louis Tiffany. Tools and supplies are included. Limit 4 students. The cost for class is $140, with members receiving a $30 discount.

The second class is an 10-week Stained Glass Open Studio. In class, students will have the opportunity to slump glass in a kiln to create a flower, which will be attached to a stained glass window to form a 3-dimensional work of art. Students may also work on their own projects at their own pace, with assistance from the instructors as needed. Students are expected to provide their own tools and supplies. Limit 8 students. The cost is $80, with members receiving a $25 discount.

Both classes will begin on Tuesday, September 12 from 7-9 p.m. Students are asked to submit payment before the first class session. For a full list of adult classes, please see the website at www.chestertonart.com. The Chesterton Art Center is located at 115 S. 4th St., Chesterton, IN 46304.
