NASA is using origami-inspired engineering in space, the medical field is researching its uses in healthcare, and mathematicians are exploring how it relates to art and mathematics. There are new origami-inspired discoveries every day at major universities such as Notre Dame, Ohio State, MIT, Harvard and others. Come learn how this traditional Japanese art is exploding into the world of the sciences during the 21st Century.

Several new origami classes will be offered at the Chesterton Art Center this fall for both children and adults. While your child has fun learning new folding techniques, he/she is being introduced to STEAM concepts through concrete applications. This presentation will explain many discoveries currently being made. The event is free and open to the public.

The Chesterton Art Center is located at 115 S. 4th St., Chesterton, IN 46304.
