Tomfoolery returns in our own unique way by blending some of the finest standup and improv and musical-comedy with live music available!!

Marci (Theoneandonly) Deloney, a Tomfoolery and region fan favorite, is back by popular demand. Marci’s career is at the very cusp of explosion and performing in a 600-seat theatre like the Hoosier will soon be commonplace once Marci hits the BIG TIME!!

Lucky Luciano is no stranger to the big stage and he has agreed to join us for this very special event! Lucky’s unique brand of humor transcends all audiences and he connects with his audience on many levels!
Last, but certainly not least and direct from Monkey’s Crevice, West Virginia, The Famous Brothers (Will, Darren and Rick) make much-anticipated appearance in NW Indiana. Providing musically-based improv humor, as well as rhythmic, toe-tapping songs in three-part harmony, the Famous boys’ bus should be breaking down on 119th Street in Whiting just prior to show time!!

No Tomfoolery event is complete without the type of live music that headlines most other shows! Rock legend, Rocken Horse, has agreed to return for a very special appearance to help commemorate this most magical event!! Once one the Midwest’s most popular (and truly talented) bands, Rocken Horse disbanded in the late 1980s and its members pursued other endeavors. Talent like theirs, however, is not to be denied and the boys reformed earlier this decade for a reunion of sorts. They found that their love for creating music had not waned and they resume their regular “jam sessions”. Most recently, the Horse has recorded new music and re-recorded some of their classics from the 1980s! A new album is not far off!!

The Hoosier Theatre, located at 1335 119th Street, Whiting, Indiana, first opened in 1924. In those days, one could see a Vaudeville review, one or two shorts, a cartoon and a feature-length film accompanied by John Muri on the theater's Kimball organ. In the 1930s, popular stage acts of that time included such legendary performers such as The Three Stooges and W.C. Fields. Actor Charles Laughton (Hunchback of Notre Dame) also performed on the Hoosier stage. During the World War II years, actor James Cagney once stood at the entrance of the Hoosier to sell war bonds. Tomfoolery is honored to be able to share the stage once graced by such amazing talent!!

Although first-run movies are regularly shown at the Hoosier Theatre, live entertainment has been mostly absent from the Hoosier scene for many years. We are quite pleased help reveal the historic stage which has been mostly hidden for years behind the movie screen!! This event is something very special and should NOT be missed!!
