Santa HQ: Experience visits with Santa in today’s digital age

Set to open for the holiday season Friday, November 10 in partnership with HGTV, Santa HQ invites families to experience the wonder of Santa's workshop in the digital and social media age. In addition to a custom photo opportunity with Santa Claus inside his modernized sleigh, mall guests can take an Elfie selfie to star in their very own holiday video, use Elf-Ray Vision to explore Santa’s Observatory and find out how they rank on the Naughty or Nice O’Meter. Visitors also will enjoy a synchronized holiday light show featuring over 10,000 individual lights orchestrated to the tune of Carol of the Bells.

While visiting Santa HQ, guests can customize their individual experience by using augmented reality to view Santa’s Workshop and Observatory in a magical way. Visitors are encouraged to download the Elf-Ray Vision app or use a provided tablet to discover the enchanting world of Santa HQ in stunning 2D and 3D digital scenes.

Santa HQ will be open seven days a week through December 24. Operating hours are:
Mondays through Thursdays: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Fridays and Saturdays: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Sundays: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Special holiday hours include:
Friday, November 24: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturday, November 25: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Sunday, November 26: 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Sunday, December 17: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Sunday, December 24: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Furry family members can join the fun and take part in family photos with Santa during Fashion Outlets of Chicago’s pet nights. Every Monday, from November 27 through December 18, families can bring their cat or dog to Santa HQ for photos with Santa from 6 to 8 p.m. Fashion Outlets of Chicago encourages shoppers participating in pet nights to park on P2 (second level) of the parking garage and enter the center by Helzberg Diamonds and Converse to easily access Santa HQ. For every shopper who purchases a Santa HQ photo package during pet nights, Fashion Outlets of Chicago will donate $10 to the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.

The activities within Santa HQ are free. Fashion Outlets of Chicago will also offer a variety of photo packages. Reservations to visit the experience can be made in advance at santa-hq.com. HGTV knows the holiday season is a memorable time for the network’s audience, so fans are encouraged to share their Santa HQ experience on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using #santahq and #loveHGTV.

Fashion Outlets of Chicago will host a holiday toy drive at Santa HQ from Nov. 10 through Dec. 20 benefitting Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. Shoppers who donate a new, unwrapped toy valued at $5 or more will receive a complimentary general admission ticket to Brookfield Zoo valid through Dec. 31, 2017. Up to four general admission tickets to the zoo will be distributed per person.

“Fashionably Late” 24-hour Black Friday shopping event

Shoppers can celebrate Black Friday in style at Fashion Outlets of Chicago’s “Fashionably Late” event beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday, November 23 and running through 10 p.m. Friday, November 24. Guests can take advantage of incredible Black Friday savings at more than 130 designer outlets while Chicago’s hottest DJs including DJ Lani Love and DJ Mother Hubbard spin chart-topping hits throughout the 24-hour party. A special “Fashionably Early” event will take place Friday, November 24 from 7 a.m. – 10 a.m. Shoppers visiting Fashion Outlets of Chicago during these hours can enjoy a variety of surprises including special giveaways and more.

Amenities to help make holiday shopping stress-free

Fashion Outlets of Chicago will help make the holiday shopping season stress-free with its wide range of amenities available at Concierge Services. Through a program powered by Deliv, shoppers can bring their holiday purchases to Concierge Services and enjoy same-day delivery to their home, office or hotel within 10 miles of Fashion Outlets of Chicago for $5. In order to accommodate same-day delivery, items must be dropped off at Concierge Services before 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and before 3 p.m. Sundays. Other amenities include coat check, gift wrapping and shopping bag hold.

For Chicago visitors traveling through O’Hare airport, Fashion Outlets of Chicago is a great destination to visit during a layover. Concierge services is available to hold luggage and print boarding passes at the shopping center. International travelers can take advantage of foreign currency exchange and translation services.
