Canterbury Summer Theatre Hosts 2018 Kick-Off Show for its 50th Anniversary Season

A light meal will be served at 4:30 PM, and the performance will begin at 6:00 PM. Admission is free, and reservations can be made by calling (219) 874-4269.

The presentation will introduce, and features performances by, the Canterbury Resident Company, who have been hired from a nationwide search, and hail from throughout the country, including Maryland, Oklahoma, New Hampshire, Illinois and Louisiana.

A preview of the upcoming season will also be featured, which includes Graceland (June 13-16),The Bikinis (June 20-30), End of The Rainbow (July 5-14),Tick, Tick...Boom!) (July 18-28), and A Texas Romance (August 2-4).

Artistic Director, Ray Scott Crawford, Dean of Performing Arts and Communication at Bossier Parish Community College, returns for his 33rd year helming Canterbury.

Canterbury Summer Theatre is now in its 50th season of productions, and boasts former company members who star in film, television, on the stages of Broadway and regional theatres, and hold prominent positions in the professional and educational performing arts fields.

Canterbury Summer Theatre is produced under the auspices of the Canterbury Guild, a nonprofit performing arts organization, which also manages the Canterbury Winter Arts Series from September through May, as well as monthly Open Mic Nights fro area performers.
