Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park entertainment district (5501 Park Place, Rosemont) will welcome summer with the return of the “Rockin’ in the Park” free summer concert series.  The 2021 series will feature 20 concerts as well as new health and safety guidelines.

Thursday, August 19: Mötley Inc.* – Mötley Inc. is a reminder why Mötley Crue was one of the greatest bands to come from the Sunset Strip. From “Red Hot” to “Dr. Feelgood” and “Girls, Girls, Girls,” the band performs iconic Mötley Crue songs and is led by Timmy Craven, the singing voice heard throughout the Mötley Crue movie “The Dirt.” 

Free concerts will continue every Thursday evening from June 3 through September 2 as well as select weekend dates through September 12. Each concert will feature music by classic cover bands and food and beverage tents on the park’s great lawn. Select concerts outlined below will culminate with a musical fireworks display.   

All “Rockin’ in the Park” concerts will run from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. with the exception of the Sunday, May 30 concert which will take place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission to “Rockin’ in the Park” is free. Outside food and coolers are prohibited. Parking is available at the Parkway Bank Park parking garage and is free with validation from any of the park’s venues.    

In accordance with the State of Illinois’ “Restore Illinois” reopening plan, Parkway Bank Park will implement the necessary wellness protocols to ensure the safety of its staff and guests. The Park will continually monitor the guidance as set forth by the Illinois Department of Public Health and adapt procedures as necessary.

Thursday, August 26: Heartache Tonight* – From the powerful guitar duel in “Hotel California” to the shimmering harmonies of “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” Heartache Tonight delivers a true concert experience. With meticulous attention to every detail, this Eagles tribute band brings together music from all eras and embodies a rock powerhouse that produced hits for more than four decades. 

  

Friday, August 27: Bee Gees Gold / The Wayouts 

Backed by a renowned rhythm section, Bee Gees Gold recreates the look and sound of the Bee Gees from the 1960s and 1970s. Featuring the detailed vocals of John Acosta as Barry, Daryll Borges as Robin and Jeff Celentano as Maurice, the band performs legendary Bee Gees tracks from early hits such as “Massachusetts” and “I Started A Joke,” to disco-era classics including “Stayin’ Alive” and “You Should Be Dancing.”    

The Wayouts play tribute to 1960s garage rock. Their concerts combine raw intensity with professional musicianship in order to bring fresh life to classic songs by artists such as The Kinks and The Animals.
 

Thursday, September 2: Elton Rohn* – As Elton Rohn, Ron Camilleri recreates the feeling of seeing a 1970s Elton John concert. The seven-piece band has headlined more than 100 shows including festivals across Canada and the United States 

  

Saturday, September 11: Purple Veins* – Hailing from Madison, WI, Purple Veins aims to re-create the magic and energy of a classic Prince show featuring both the artist's hits and lesser-known classics. The Veins bring audiences a high-energy dance party featuring Prince's relentless funk paired with theatrical elements and dance choreography.  

  

Sunday, September 12:The Boy Band Night* – From *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys and New Kids on The Block to Boys 2 Men, One Direction and more, this group playing tribute to popular boy bands will have audiences dancing and singing along all night long.
