Towle Theater to offer Youth Education Workshops

This summer’s exciting offerings range from Carrie the musical choreography with returning teacher Colin Funk (July 16 from 1PM-4PM, ages 12-18) to Intro to Clowning with David Gordezky (July 24 from 1PM-4PM, ages 12-18). The variety of classes this summer is huge and exciting, pulling teaching talent from all over Chicago. Is your kid a musical lover? Sign them up for one of the musical vocal/choreography days! Is your kid into dance? Tap will be perfect for them! Is your kid a little comedian? Clowning, Improv or Commedia Del’Arte will be the perfect fit! Craftier kid? Intro to puppetry (which involves making, learning to operate, and taking home your own puppet) will be just the thing!

This summer Towle Performing Arts Company has really challenged what skills might be necessary to be a successful well-rounded artist and created an exciting lineup of workshops you wont want to miss out on. There is certainly something for everybody.

The cost for each session is $25. If you buy four sessions you get one free. There are no refunds unless cancelation due to lack of registrants. Minimum of 5 registrants needed for each workshop to run. Cut off for registration is Monday July 9th.

The Towle Theater is located in beautiful downtown Hammond at 5205 Hohman Avenue. Parking is available just off Fayette Street only steps away from our alley entrance at the back of the theater. For more information, please call 219-937-8780 or visit www.towletheater.org.
