The South Shore CVA, the Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will begin the coordinated effort to clean up major intersections along I-65 in Lake County. The project began July 1st.

“Millions of travelers will come to the South Shore to visit beaches, attractions, family and friends. The clean roadways will welcome them before they exit their vehicle,” said Speros A. Batistatos, President/CEO of the South Shore CVA.

This grant along with sponsorships will provide Sherriff’s trustees with the necessary gloves, safety vests, boots, trash bags and more. “We would not be able to take on this project without the support of local municipalities or generous donations from local businesses and the Legacy’s grant,” Batistatos continued.
