I-69 Section 6 Public Meeting in Martinsville

The alternative will be known as the refined preferred alternative from the original preferred alternative released in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) in March 2017. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has initially reviewed the modifications in preparation to share with the public.

INDOT will host additional meetings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the following locations:

Perry Meridian High School, 401 W. Meridian School Rd., Indianapolis 46217 on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017
Center Grove High School, 2717 S Morgantown Rd in Greenwood 46143 on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017

These adjustment were based on feedback from planners, public input and stakeholders. The refinements will be in the Final Environmental Impact Statement that’s expected to be released in the first quarter of 2018, along with the Record of Decision from FHWA.

The I-69 Section 6 project team is requesting comments for this phase of the project by September 26, 2017. Those comments can be submitted using a web form at and by contacting I-69 Section 6 directly at The public can also visit the I-69 Section 6 project office located at 7847 Waverly Road, Martinsville, IN 46151. The office is open Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be closed on state holidays.

Accommodations will be made for individuals requiring auxiliary aids or services such as sign language interpretation, audio readers and/or large print materials.
