Edge Adventures Deep River Aerial Park is announcing several schedule changes. The park will be open during regular hours daily except Tuesday through August 13th. From August 18th through September 30th, the park will be open during regular hours on Saturdays and Sundays. During October, the park will also be open on Fridays from 4:00-8:00 pm for a night climb. Lights will be added to the course, and every climber will be issued a head lamp. The park will close for the season on November 4th.

Hofbräuhaus Chicago will bring the “oompah” of Oktoberfest back to the Chicago area with its sixth annual Oktoberfest celebration September 14 – October 28. Guests can enjoy a plethora of festivities including authentic nightly Bavarian entertainment, freshly brewed “Oktoberfestbier” inspired by the original Hofbräuhaus in Munich, daily food specials served by Dirndl-clad waitresses, celebrity keg tapping ceremonies and more.

Buffy Summers has officially left the streets of Sunnydale and made her way to slay in the Windy City. Just in time for Halloween, Replay Lincoln Park, 2833 N. Sheffield, is launching a ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ themed pop-up bar experience. Opening on Friday, October 12, the pop-up bar will offer guests the opportunity to ‘live a day in the life of a true vampire slayer,’ complete with doing (dreaded) research at the Sunnydale High Library, enjoying a night out at The Bronze nightclub, and even getting the chance to patrol the cemetery. On October 27, aspiring slayers are invited to dress up in their best Buffy attire for the ultimate Chicago Halloween Costume Party.

Pride Films and Plays will host the first Chicago screening of the documentary EVERY ACT OF LIFE, a feature-length documentary film by Jeff Kaufman about Terrence McNally, one of theatre’s most important and prolific playwrights of the last half-century. EVERY ACT OF LIFE profiles McNally’s pioneering five-decade career in the theater, focusing on the struggle for LGBT rights and his pursuit of love and inspiration at every age. The 93-minute film features Angela Lansbury, F. Murray Abraham, Larry Kramer, Nathan Lane, Audra McDonald, Edie Falco, Christine Baranski, Patrick Wilson, Billy Porter, and many more artists who have worked with McNally over his career.

Fulcrum Point New Music Project collaborates with the Morelia, Michoacan-based Mexican Centre for Music and the Sonic Arts to present ¡Revolución! featuring electroacoustic music from Mexican composers, plus the unique opportunity for audience members to control the performance via new technology, at Constellation (3111 N.
