Edge Adventures Deep River Aerial Park is announcing several schedule changes. The park will be open during regular hours daily except Tuesday through August 13th. From August 18th through September 30th, the park will be open during regular hours on Saturdays and Sundays. During October, the park will also be open on Fridays from 4:00-8:00 pm for a night climb. Lights will be added to the course, and every climber will be issued a head lamp. The park will close for the season on November 4th.

Hofbräuhaus Chicago will bring the “oompah” of Oktoberfest back to the Chicago area with its sixth annual Oktoberfest celebration September 14 – October 28. Guests can enjoy a plethora of festivities including authentic nightly Bavarian entertainment, freshly brewed “Oktoberfestbier” inspired by the original Hofbräuhaus in Munich, daily food specials served by Dirndl-clad waitresses, celebrity keg tapping ceremonies and more.

EXPO CHICAGO, The International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art (September 27– 30, 2018), announces the full list of international artists featured in the third annual program for OVERRIDE | A Billboard Project, curated by the exposition’s Director of Programming Stephanie Cristello, Exhibitor Relations & Programming Coordinator Alexis Brocchi and Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) Program Director Daniel Schulman. Aligning with the seventh exposition, this significant citywide public art initiative, on view September 17 – October 7, 2018, will feature the work of 12 artists represented by major local, national and international galleries exhibiting at the exposition displayed throughout Chicago’s City Digital Network (CDN) of citywide billboards.

Jayde McAloon will be teaching a Beginning Wire Wrapping Jewelry Class at the Chesterton Art Center on Thursday, September 20 from 6:30-8:00. All participants will finish class with a wire wrapped pendant using beach glass or a crystal - a great way to use the little gems found at the beach. Supplies are included, but students are welcome to bring their own specimens if they choose.
