The Chicago Humanities Festival revealed its full line-up for the Fallfest/17: Belief. New additions to the line-up including Tony-award winning playwright Tony Kushner, Rolling Stone writer Matt Taibbi, Aspen Institute President and CEO Walter Isaacson, French philosopher and social critic Bernard-Henri Lévy, filmmaker Joe Swanberg, Obama Presidential Center architects Tod Williams and Billie Tsien, and Publican chef Paul Kahan.

On October 11th, over 5000 children will visit the La Porte Civic Auditorium, 1001 Ridge St., LaPorte, for the 29th year of Education Concerts hosted by the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra, chaired by LCSO Board President, V. Michael Drayton. A community tradition, this is a field trip that has come to be highly anticipated by children, teachers, and administrators. Roosevelt Road) on the campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago. Journalist and author Natalie Moore, author of “The South Side” will receive the 21st Century Award at the event.
