JANUARY 12, SATURDAY, 2PM, monthly JAZZ JAM with host Tom Matecki Quartet. Musicians and singers will be invited to sing or play after the first set. Amplification will be provided. $5.00 cover charge. Donations appreciated. Free if you sit in.

JANUARY 20, SUNDAY, 6PM. Come watch the cast of "Confessions of An Adult Artist" preview their performance at Paul Henrys Art Gallery. Written and directed by local talent, Khyel Roberson, "Confessions of An Adult Artist" is a musical written by Khyel Roberson about how to cope with being a responsible adult while following dreams and aspirations of becoming a successful artist. The full play will be presented March 9th and 10th at Beatnik's on Conkey. $3 cover charge.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 27, 1PM, Rumba de la Region, a drum ensemble led by Ed Brann that explores Afro/Cuban rhythms in a lively 3 hour interactive session. Cuban Rumba is a drum ensemble style of music, created by multiple drummers playing individual rhythms, in a conversational arrangement. Join us in exploring these beautiful rhythms, and learn how to talk with one another, through the drum.

Appropriate instrumentation will be provided. Experience is not necessary, but is welcome. $5 fee.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 30TH, 7PM, Paul Henry's Jazz Showcase with an assembled group of accomplished local musicians which includes Johnny Alto, Nicholas Gerasimos Kazonis, Kris Lohn, Andy Sutton and Joe Marcinek
