Spotlighting events along the south shore of Lake Michigan

“Having seen the transformation of 210 from a historical bowling alley, to a restaurant with music, to what is now a high-tech-enhanced music venue offering an entire experience, we are continuously striving to present the very best in entertainment to our customers,” said 210 Live Partner Steve Goldstein.

“There is something truly unique and special about 210 Live that people can feel from the moment they walk in,” added Partner and Music Program Director Judy Shatkin. “Whether it’s the décor, the food, the bar or the state-of-the-art sound system, we offer our patrons an experience unlike any other in the Chicagoland area. Whether they come in for a quick bite, a drink at the newly designed bar, a dance party or all the above, there is something that draws back singles, couples and large groups night after night discovering new music and meeting like-minded people.”

210 Day
February 10 | 7:30 PM

Re-establishing itself as the premier destination for music on the North Shore, 210 Live celebrates 210 Day on Saturday, February 10, 2018, offering guests a taste of what the music venue will offer on a year-round basis. Always serving great food and soul-satisfying music, 210 Live elevates both aspects, offering guests an all-encompassing experience from incredible, diverse and eclectic sounds on stage, to the mouth-watering, the delectable dishes served—many of which took inspiration from the live music that fills the space. The celebratory event welcomes guests to a FREE night of music by the “Funky…Electrically charged…inventive” (New York Times), Liquid Soul, who DownBeat Magazine states, “…sweeps the mold and mildew out of jazz-funk and breathes it back to glorious life.” Guests will be able to purchase $2.10 beers between the hours of 5 and 6:00 p.m. in addition to $7.00 Liquid Soul Signature Cocktails available all evening long and created especially for 210 Day.

Formed in 1993 and led by innovative saxophonist/composer Mars Williams, Liquid Soul has developed a trademark mixture of jazz and urban dance music that incorporates everything from R&B, hard-bop, hip-hop, world music and more. This standout ensemble has opened for Sting at Madison Square Garden and Central Park, played at the inaugural parade and 21st century ball, and performed twice at South by Southwest. They have recorded four critically acclaimed albums – “Make Some Noise” (1998), the GRAMMY nominated “Here’s the Deal” (2000), “Evolution” (2002) and “One Two Punch” (2006). Admission to the event is free, but tickets are recommended to ensure a spot. Please visit
